 ALBASA 46th Annual General Assembly

 

The Academic Libraries Book Acquisition Systems Association, Inc. (ALBASA) will be celebrating its 46th  Annual General Assembly on May 22-24, 2019, at J Centre Convention Hall, 3rd Level, J Centre Mall, A.S. Fortuna Street, Bakilid, Mandaue City. 

 

This year’s theme is “Life-Changing Skills for a Meaningful and Satisfying Work Performance” with the following objectives:

  

  • To acquire new skills in enhancing professionalism in the workplace;To describe and recognize potentials at work with key attributes that can benefit the organization and the workers in particular;
  • To explain and translate the data privacy act to be fully understood and adopted by librarians and information professionals in the current work setting;
  • To discuss and uphold the highest ethical standards in conducting research;
  • To provide a convenient venue for member institutions to make live book selection for collection development of their libraries;
  • To facilitate a harmonious relationship among stakeholders, reliable partners, ALBASA management, and its members.

For Members:
Please send your Head Librarian or duly designated representative who is familiar with your institution’s linkage with ALBASA, Inc. to attend the Business Meeting on May 22, 2019, and the Seminar-Workshop and Fellowship Night on May 23-24, 2019.   Free seminar registration will be given to the first delegate of the institutions who reached the required annual patronage quota and have paid at least 70% of total purchases on or before April 30, 2019.  All other delegates will be assessed a seminar registration fee of Php 3,500.00 inclusive of seminar kit, certificate, hand-outs, two-day morning and afternoon snacks and lunch (May 23-24, 2019) and participation in the Fellowship Night in a Masquerade Attire.  You may send ahead the payment to any of the following bank accounts:


For Non Members:

In this light, we are inviting Librarians, library administrators, information professionals, and library personnel to join the seminar-workshop. Seminar registration starts at 1:00 PM on May 22, 2019. Non-member participants will pay a registration fee of Php 4,000.00 inclusive of seminar kit, certificate, hand-outs, two-day morning and afternoon snacks and lunch, and participation in the Fellowship Night in a Masquerade Attire.  You may send ahead the payment to any of the following bank accounts:
